The organ at Holy Trinity Church, Tarleton has been covered ahead of the start of a £55,000 programme of work to install new lighting in the church.
As a result of the installation of new lighting the Wednesday 10am Service will be at Rufford for six weeks from from August 25th.
It being Old Church Sunday on August 22nd services will be at St Mary’s Windgate (10.45am & 6pm) and not Holy Trinity that day.
The installation is being carried out by Roebuck and Holmes, a specialist firm from Huddersfield.
Commenting on the start of work our Rector, Fr Mark Soady said, ” Not only will the lighting result in better visibility, but it will also reduce our electric bill and cut our carbon emissions. So it is a win , win situation”.
The new lights will be dedicated by the Archdeacon of Blackburn on November 7th.
