Seventy years ago today (February 6th) our queen came to the throne, and so we spend this week celebrating with our young people the legacy of 70 years of service.
In our church schools this week Fr Mark and Danny are looking at the legacy the Queen has left us. Their Legacy tree also acknowledges the legacy of medics, teachers, police, the armed forces, churches…..and yes parents who have helped us over the last two years of pandemic.
We recognise that HM The Queen’s long life and reign of service was itself inspired by the legacy left her by Jesus Christ from His time on earth. We will explore what legacy we would like to leave to our future generations, as we pass on the baton.
The culmination of the week will be All Age Acts of Worship on Sunday, February 13th at Rufford at 9.15am and at Tarleton at 10.45am.
These fun packed celebrations will include two families at each church competing to see who can transform Fr Mark and Danny in to snowmen in the quickesttime. “Why?” you ask….well turn up to find out….or if you can’t come in person tune in to watch on our Facebook page at 10.45am.
