Today (Saturday, July 2nd) The Bishop of Blackburn Ordained Tristan Meares as Deacon at  a service at Blackburn Cathedral.

Tomorrow Fr Tristan will preach in the morning at Holy Trinity, Tarleton at 8am and 10.45am. In the evening he will Deacon Bishop Philip North’s Ordination of Priests at Accrington.

On Sunday, July 10th he will preach at St Mary’s Rufford at 8am and at the 9.15am All Age Eucharist.

Fr Tristan studied at St Stephen’s House , Oxford. He was born and grew up in West Sussex in a village outside Horsham. Following a scholarship to Lancing College, he read History of Art at University College, London, and later took a degree in English Literature with the Open University. After his time at university, he was drawn more deeply into Church life, singing in the choir, serving as an Organist, and as a PCC Member and Secretary in his sending parish, among other roles.
