The west end of Holy Trinity Church, Tarleton has been transformed in to a Community Space which is already being full utilised.
With in days of the space being completed it was used for a Community gathering Coffee & Chat and for the hosting of a month long art exhibition.
An excited Rector, Fr Mark Soady said about the opening of the space:
“The timing of the opening of this space could not have been more advantageous, allowing us as a church to provide a space for the lonely and vulnerable in this community at a time of souring utility bills and after coming out of the isolation of Covid. Coffee and chat part of the nationwide Warm welcome initiative provides such a place for those people and others to meet.”
Thanking the schemes principle Funder he continued,
“Without the generosity of Lancashire Environmental Fund these important Community works would not have got off the ground.”
He also thanked the schemes other funders among them the Parishioners of Holy Trinity, The Duchy or Lancaster’s Benevolent Fund, Garfield Weston, The Beatrice Laing Trust and SSC.
The Community space is available to book by all groups in the village of Tarlerton to use. Book the space here.
