Fr Mark has welcomed the highly talented Robin Stopford as the new Choir Director of Tarleton Holy Trinity School’s Choir Church.  He said:

“There  are not many people who could follow the amazing Dr Rebekah Opkpoti, but Robin is one person I am sure can! “

So who is Robin?   This is what he says this about himself:

I come with over 40 years teaching, performing and composing experience, mainly at Secondary level, although I was in overall charge of primary liaison for 20 years so frequently led lessons, workshops and activities in primary schools, often with my steel band!
I taught in three schools, eventually becoming Headteacher of Lostock Hall Academy, a Performing Arts School before my early retirement in 2015.
During retirement I haven’t rested on my laurels – I teach piano, organ, singing and composition privately, am Musical Director for Company of Voyces, an adult choir, Preston Gilbert & Sullivan , Crosby Gilbert & Sullivan as well as organist in several local churches for weddings, funerals and Sunday cover. I also have 30 compositions to my name, mainly choral, which have been performed across the UK and US. I am thrilled that Choir Church have agreed to include my Mass for All Saints’ within the programme.
