Greetings all,
I cannot tell you how thrilled and excited I am at the prospect of serving my curacy in the parishes of Rufford and Tarleton.  To tell you just a little about myself, my name is Joe Kochanski and I am currently about to start my final year of training at Emmanuel Theological College.  Throughout my training, I have been on placement at All Saints’ Church in New Longton.  I’ve been married to my wife, Laura, for 17 years now, and we have two sons, Kenny (16) and Bobby (9).  I’m originally from Ohio (and so you’ll need to excuse the weird accent).  Prior to beginning my studies at Emmanuel, I worked for nearly 20 years as an accountant, most of which was for a large travel company where I specialised in financial project management and regulatory oversight.  Prior to that, I spent many years working as a chef and still have a passion for all things BBQ (which quite often comes in handy at church events!).  I love people, I love spending time with God in prayer, worship and in scripture, and I love spreading the joy we have through Christ with others.  I’m very much looking forward to meeting all of you, walking beside you, and working with you as we grow in faith together, and share that faith with the world!

Welcoming the news Fr Mark said

It will be great to welcome Joe to the Parishes following his Ordination on June 30th.

I am really looking forward to having him work alongside me. I have already experienced his enthusiasm for mission and parish life. He is true dynamo.
