On his first day with us in the parish Danny presented our three church schools with a mini Christmas tree and baubles.
Danny explained:
The idea behind this innovative is for the trees to be decorated one day and bauble at a time during advent, with each of the baubles representing a particular prayer for that day. The prayers are centred around the advent themes of HOPE, PEACE, JOY AND LOVE. As the children decorate their trees, they not only look better day-by-day, but are also representations of their prayer life as a community, for their communities and for the world.
Danny will serve here for three days a week for three years as part of his training at Emmanuel Theological College. An Ordinand of the Diocese of Liverpool, Danny is married to Georgia. He continued “I am looking forward to being part of these worshiping Communities.
Welcoming him , Fr Mark said
I am sure God will bless us by Danny being among us. On his first day in the parish he hit the ground running, I am looking forward to more exciting times with him here.”
