Ninety years to the month that Our Lady of Walsingham was moved from the Parish church to the Holy House pilgrims from our parish lead by Fr Mark Soady will spend a week at the Shrine.

Created in 1061 and the suppressed at the Reformation it was reinstated in 1931. Known as England’s Nazareth the Shrine welcomes hundreds of Pilgrims each year. In 1922 a reproduction of the ancient Image was made from the seal of the Priory and set up in the Parish Church. It was moved to the current Shrine in October 1931.

The Master of the College of Guardians of the Shrine is Rt Revd Phillip North, who also has episcopal oversight of our parishes.
